I am running the Great North Run (13.1 miles!) this September in memory of my step mum Sue who passed away from terminal cancer in August 2019. The impact of my grief stopped my ability to exercise completely so to now be signed up for The Great North Run and start training has been huge for me! I want to not only make her proud and remember her in a special way but I want to say thank you to Eden Valley Hospice for the essential and amazing care they gave to Sue at the end of her life. As a family we can never thank you enough but want to raise £12,000 to cover the cost of the 29 days of care Sue received. The money I raise from my Run will be a massive kick start to our family's fundraising journey and I can't thank you enough for any amount of money donated.
